Climate Change

To fulfil the aims of the Paris Agreement and keep temperature increases as close to 1,5 degrees C as possible, the world needs to reach carbon neutrality by 2050 and greenhouse gas emissions neutrality by 2070.  Numerous effective mitigation options are available at all scales.  Yet, how to proceed towards a low emissions future can seem like an overwhelming task.  How to picture future emissions pathways with and without mitigation options? How to choose the most effective and least-cost options? How to best support sustainable development with GHG mitigation options? How to coordinate mitigation and adaptation.

We support effective mitigation and adaptation planning with the use of various analytical tools including system dynamics modelling, simulation assessment of carbon neutral futures, comparative analysis of mitigation options, cost-benefit analysis, cost-effectiveness analysis life-cycle thinking and analysis.
